I know it’s November. But I don’t care. I just don’t. My Christmas Tree is going up this weekend. Don’t judge. I figure if the stores can do it, I can too. And this year I am obsessed with finding the perfect Christmas Tree Topper. I’m aiming for perfect. I have narrowed it down to one of these 15 Gorgeous Christmas Tree Toppers. I know I will eventually have to pick one. Or I’m gonna need two Christmas Trees.
Every year I plan on finding (or making) that one special ornament that will complete the family tree tradition – and every year I end up with a dodgy Christmas Angel made with a toilet paper inner, paper doily, red glitter (yes, red every single time) and glued on googly eyes. I’m not saying I don’t love my children’s crafts – because I really do – but after 16 years of facilitating their 5 minute festive season artwork – I think it has come to an end – I have only a couple of weeks left of school and no-one has arrived home with a crumpled creation in their school bag. Yet,
Dear Santa. This year I want a Pinterest-worthy tree masterpiece – with decorations on the whole tree – not just the top bit where little hands and the cat can’t reach. Please. Pretty please.
Without further delay … here are my top 15 Christmas Tree Toppers (you can thank me later for saving you hours of internet time).
1. DIY Wooden Christmas Star
I’m a little in love with this simple painted wooden star. You can paint this wooden star topper to coordinate with the color palette of your Christmas tree ornaments and I was even thinking that I could wrap a string of lights around it (those little ones on a copper wire from Kmart).
2. Rustic Christmas Weather Vane
This really suits our new farm life and although it’s not the traditional tree topper – I must say I kinda like this. It’s warm, friendly and is pointing somewhere special. I could work with this.
3. Santas Sleigh Orbiting the Moon
Oh My Goodness me!! Not sure if I could pull this together….but Wow! I love it!!
4. Lantern lighting the Way
How cute is this lantern tree topper? Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling just looking at it.
OR this one from A Southern Blossom
5. Handsome Christmas Owl
Oh I can just see this little guy on top of our Christmas Tree. And then in my daughters room. No way she will resist touching it. I give it an hour max on top of the tree. Max.
6. DIY Woven Wood Topper – with Tutorial
I think I could actually make this. Maybe? Brush the dust off that hot glue gun , baby.
This is perfect. Just perfect. In my dreams everything comes together and my Christmas Tree looks like this. In my dreams. One day.
8. A Shiny little Star
A Classic. But so Gorgeous. And I really love the woven basket too.
How beautiful is this? Seriously. It’a a little out my price range but I must admit – it is something that would be on top of my tree forever.
10. Flax Christmas Angel
I think this is what Christmas should be. Humble. Natural. Full of love.
11. Christmas Angel
This is simply stunning.
12. Custom Family Star
I love this one too. A custom family star which you can remake every year as your kids get bigger. Oh my … this is getting to be a hard decision.
13. Hand Felted Family Tree Topper
Now I am nearly in tears.
OK. I know I said 15 Christmas Tree Toppers, but I just deleted the other two because they didn’t meet up to my intentions. Remember, I am aiming for a PERFECT tree Topper this year. And I think it comes down to one of these.
And for those of you are still at the Toilet Roll Angel Stage …. You know who you are.
Enjoy every single moment! Because it goes by way too quickly:) and I miss it. So so so much.
