3 Ingredient Chicken Parmigiana
22 minutes from Pantry to Plate with only 2 minutes of prep time. You could make this meal in an advert break with time to spare. One of those meals for “I dont feel like cooking” days. If you are in a hurry, then slice your chicken into thin pieces to speed up cooking time. For an easy week night meal clean up, I sometimes use disposable aluminium foil dishes. This adds about $1 to the overall meal, so it’s only when I really need some time out.
I usually serve with pasta or mashed potato and a salad and I use store bought organic pasta sauce. I have taken a pic of the bottle to show the list of ingredients. I only choose products that do not contain preservatives and I make sure that I recognise EVERY single ingredient. Most supermarkets now stock a ‘clean enough’ pasta sauce to include in your pantry. It saves so much time when you need to get dinner on the table fast.
- 4 Chicken Breasts fillets sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
- 4 cups of Organic Pasta Sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Cheese
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius / 350′ Fahrenheit. Slice your raw chicken breast into roughly 1/2 inch thick strips (thinner if you need it to cook faster) or flatten out chicken thigh fillets. Pour over the pasta sauce and sprinkle with cheese.
- Pop it in the hot oven for 20 minutes. The cheese will be grilled and the pasta sauce reduced to a thick tomato gravy.
