Creamy Honey Oatmeal Breakfast Pudding

A creamy, thick and delicious breakfast recipe, topped with slices of fresh banana, cinnamon and a drizzle of runny honey.



1 Cup Rolled Oats

2 Cups Hot Water

1 Cup Milk (of your choice)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Bananas, sliced



Heat up a large pot on the stove.

Stir together oats, milk, vanilla and water. Bring to the Boil. Turn down the heat, cover with a lid and simmer for 5 – 10 minutes. The oats will thicken on cooking. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot.

Serve in bowls with sliced bananas, cinnamon and a drizzle of honey.


If you like your Oats to be a little less thick, then add more water or milk while cooking.

I always limit my kids to a teaspoon of honey, because they are still kids, and if I didn’t set a limit they would squeeze half the bottle in their oats while my back was turned.
