Poached eggs are one of my favourite ways to eat eggs. My definition of a perfectly poached egg is when they the white bit is firm and cooked through (no slimy bits) and the yolk is soft and runny inside. Yum. Whenever we go out for breakfast, this is what I will order. And yet, I have avoided making poached eggs at home for years. I thought it was too difficult to even attempt. Until very recently. I am now a poached egg graduate. It’s a healthy, yummy option for quick egg breakfast – plus needs very little clean up with no pot to scrub.
Perhaps by now you may have discovered that I have a bit of an unrequited love affair with Jamie Oliver. What can I say? The man cooks dinner. Here is his little video on how to Poach an Egg.
