Delicious, quick and super easy to make! These snack sized tuna bites especially for kids are the perfect party snack for both kids and adults. They are also amazing in lunchboxes and as an after school snack – especially with a little fresh lemon juice squeezed on top! Oh my Gosh – So Good!

Tuna Snacks
These snack sized bites of yumminess are ideal for party food, lunch boxes or afternoon snacks. I keep them in the fridge and they are normally gone within an hour of being found.
Each batch makes around 15 – 20 snack balls (depending on how big you roll them). I make mine about the size of a a big grape (one teaspoon full of tuna mix).
These are great stand alone snacks, easy lunchbox fillers and all round kid friendly nibbles. Lots of kids already like tuna and so there’s no big deal trying to get them to eat them. Which also makes them an opportunity to ad some extra veggies, in this case I’ve packed in a whole cup of shredded vegetables to make these even more nutritious.
You can add pretty much any veggies you like to the tuna mix. I generally use some grated carrots, some corn and then add a few chives. This gives you a lovely fresh mix and adds a little extra texture and crunch.
I’ve also used some fresh lemon juice in these. Lemon goes so well with fish and adding a tablespoon of the juice in these snacks gives them a slight zestiness!
I shallow fry using some olive oil and this now only seals and cooks the snacks balls, but you also end up with a crispy ‘shell’. Take a bite into one of these and you’ll get a good old crunch. They’re moorish, delicious and one is definitely not enough!
