¾cupGround almonds(also called almond meal or almond flour)
1tspbaking powder
¼tsp salt
2tbspdark chocolate dropsOPTIONAL
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F /160C (I have a fan oven)
Line a 9x13 inch baking tray with non stick baking paper.
Process your dates in a food processor until smooth. This should take about 40 seconds. If your dates are hard, then soak them in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Drain the water before you process them.
Add the almond butter and process until well mixed - this should only take about 10 - 15 seconds.
And remaining ingredients - eggs, vanilla, maple syrup, cocoa, almond flour, baking powder and salt. Process until the well combined. Your mix will be think and smooth. It will feel a little grainy due to the dates, but you shouldnt have any lumps.
Spoon into your prepped baking tray and top with a sprinkle of dark chocolate drops - this is optional, but I highly recommend it :)
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into squares

Store in Refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
