Zucchini Bread French Toast
This is so good. I have been patiently waiting (since yesterday) to reveal this recipe. My carefully hidden extra loaf of Zucchini Bread was just sitting there (less one small slice that went missing at around 10pm last night). Its sole purpose in life was to be transformed into this thick French Toast smothered with Maple Syrup. Hmmm mmmm.
French toast is not the time to skimp on your Maple Syrup addiction. Enjoy it. Just enjoy every moist, sweet, delicious mouthful.
OK. Too much. Too soon. Let me show you how easy it is to make.
You take yesterdays Zucchini loaf, soak a slice in egg and fry in a hot pan with a dollop of butter. Of course you can skip the butter, but why would you?
- 6 thick slices of Zucchini Bread
- 4 slightly beaten eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Cut 6 thick slices of the bread. Dip both sides briefly in the egg so that all both sides are covered in egg. Place in a hot pan with butter and fry for around 3 min until golden brown. Turn over and cook the other side. Serve with maple syrup.
