Ingredients
4Bananas Peeled and sliced lengthways in half
4tbspButter
½CupHeavy cream
¼CupMaple syrup100% Pure
1tbspCoconut sugar
½tspGround cinnamon
1tbspChopped WalnutsTo serve, optional
Instructions
On a medium heat, melt 2 tbsp of your butter in a heavy bottomed saucepan ( I use an iron skillet) and heat it until it bubbles
Place your sliced bananas, cut side down, in the pan and turn the heat down to medium
Sprinkle the coconut sugar over the bananas and let the bananas cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, making sure the heat doesn't burn the bananas
Remove the bananas and put them on a plate to one side
Turn the heat to low and add the cream to the pan, then stir in your Maple syrup and cinnamon. Use a rubber spatula to make sure the sauce is well combined and then let it gently bubble for a couple of minutes
Take the sauce off the heat and add the other 2tbsp of butter. Stir the butter through until it's all melted and combined
Serve your fried bananas and pour the sauce over liberally!
