How to Make the Perfect Soft Boiled Egg

I have made so many boiled eggs and yet I still struggle to get them just perfect.

Maybe it's because I'm really fussy when it comes to my boiled eggs. I like them soft on the inside, but all the white needs to be cooked through. Otherwise it just grosses me out.

We have a big family so making two boiled eggs for everyone means cooking 12 at a go. And for some reason, the more I try and boil, the less I get them all consistently soft. By the time I crack them all open, some unlucky family member is always left with a hard yolk. Which makes for awkward toast dipping.
