I really like this weeks Clean Eating meal plan. I’m trying a whole weeks worth of new recipes. Nothing too complicated and all packed with the kind of vegetables that the kids will eat without getting their noses out of place. Except for Monday’s Recipe. Not sure about how that one is going to go down.
I want a Mom holiday – (and I never thought I would say this) without the kids and maybe without the husband too. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family, but I’ve been fantasizing of late about the kind of holiday where I can sleep in. Dinner is cooked and bought to my table. Dessert is something chocolaty. Dirty dishes are taken away and I never see them again. And I can sit on the beach and read an entire trashy novel from beginning to end. Bliss.
My brain needs a break from Mommying (is that even a word?), teen romance, high school Calculus (who would have thought this would show its ugly head again), Biology of the plant cell and Year 9 girl drama. And the Husband?Well, someone needs to babysit and keep an eye on my catastrophe prone sheep when I’m on my fantasy holiday.

About the CEWK Meal Plans
- Sunday is my Meal Planning Day so I will work hard to regularly post my Meal plans on the Blog on Sunday night. You can read more about how I meal plan here.
- I pack lunches for the family Monday to Friday and use my Mix and Match Lunchbox Planner to make this a little easier (you can get it for Free here).
- I bake once or twice a week to keep stocked up on school lunchbox treats and after school snacks.
- I don’t exclude any particular food groups, but I do limit sugar (my take on sugar) and dairy when possible as my eldest daughter is lactose intolerant.
- I cook from scratch as much as I can but I do take a few shortcuts and try to keep prep time to a minimum (preferably under 30 minutes).
- My recipes start with whole, real food ingredients.
- We are a real family, so there are often family favorites that I cook again from week to week.
- I haven’t included links to all the weeks recipes on this page (because that would be a long, long post), but you can find all recipes on the Blog by typing in the search bar.

MONDAY
Stuffed Mexican Zucchini Boats – I’m going to give this recipe a go this week. Only half my kids eat zucchini without a fuss. Normally I would add it to a casserole or hide it in a recipe, but this week it’s going to be the star of the show. And there’s no meat to distract them. Hmmm I’ll let you know how it goes.

TUESDAY
Creamy Beef in Shells – This is a great recipe to double up on and freeze an extra serving for another day.

WEDNESDAY
Chicken and Pineapple Skewers – It’s International Pineapple day sometime this month and I just happen to have a ready and ripe pineapple sitting in my kitchen right now. I won’t be following this recipe exactly as I like to keep it simple with chicken, pineapple and a little seasoning.

THURSDAY
Chicken Chow Mein – So easy and the kids love this recipe.

FRIDAY
Shrimp Pad Thai – I’m making sure I don’t waste any fresh vegetables this week, so pretty much adding every crunchy veg I have in the fridge to this Pad Thai.

SATURDAY
Creamy Mushroom Chicken – Couple of changes here. I use regular full fat cream instead of crème fraîche to save on the grocery budget. It changes the taste a bit, but still a good recipe.

SUNDAY
Sheet Pan Lemon Garlic Chicken – A change from my regular Sunday Roast thing with this simple Lemon Garlic Sheet Pan Chicken. I have a couple extra kids over for dinner on Sunday and one roast chicken just wouldn’t cut it, so chicken pieces help me stretch the meal to feed all those teens.
