It’s so tempting to go with a drive-through breakfast on a busy weekday morning, but these super speedy egg wrap fillings can get you out of the house faster than a trip to the nearest take-out!
Egg Wrap Fillings
We love making these healthy egg wraps, they’ve become something of a staple breakfast in our house. They’re super simple to make, take minutes to put together and in no time at all you’ve got a really filling breakfast for the kids, especially on those busy mornings when there never seems to be any time. Most of them then!
These wraps are not especially ‘eggy’ and so are great for those little uns’ that won’t eat an omelette but aren’t opposed to eggs in general! But to save you any extra what on earth do i fill these with moments these egg wrap fillings are the ones we have the most often. The ones that are asked for over and over, the ones you know you’ve done something right with.
How To Make Egg Wraps
Making egg wraps couldn’t be easier. They consist of literally eggs and a little seasoning. The secret is in hoe you cook them. You want to get them thin and flat, so they’re wrap like but also a little pancake like. In fact when they’re cooking, they take on a pancake appearance in that you get little bubbles on the top to let you know when they need flipping over!
In a nutshell, you whisk the egg mixture, season it, grease your pan as you would with pancakes, pour your egg onto the hot skillet or crepe pan and use a spatula to work the egg wrap away from the edges and the bottom of the pan and flip it at flipping time!
All cooked over a medium heat. Prep time is a couple of minutes, and if you’ve prepped your fillings ahead, the total time to the table is in minutes! I did tell you, the instructions are simple!
There’s a whole post here about how to make perfectly healthy egg wraps and that goes through the steps I take to make sure they come out awesome every single time, plus what you need to make them of course.
Make Ahead Egg Wrap Fillings
One of the things you can do to speed everything up in the mornings is to make your fillings, or at least know what you’re making and get them ready, ahead of time.
If you have some cooked veggies or leftovers in the fridge you can of course use those but if you don’t and you’d like to try these egg wraps, making your filling ahead of the morning you’ll be serving them to the kids makes everything a bit easier.
You can pre make your fillings and leave them in the fridge for a couple of days depending on what they are.

Cream Cheese And Spinach Egg Wrap
This is so easy, so yummy and such a good way to get a huge protein hit into the kids before waving them off on the school bus!
To make this filing, I wilt about one handful per wrap of raw, washed spinach and then mix it with one tablespoon (per wrap) of cream cheese. You can then spread the filling mixture across the whole wrap before rolling it up and either cutting it in half or into smaller rolls, which are easier for very little fingers to manage.

For a treat type breakfast or if you happen to have some in the fridge you want to use, spreading some ream cheese over your egg wrap and then laying a little smoked salmon on it before rolling it up is…..well, it’s really really good!
Crispy Bacon And Avocado Egg Wrap
Is there a kid alive who doesn’t love crispy bacon? If there is, I don’t know them! One or two slices of crispy pan fried bacon combined with some thin slices of avocado wrapped in an egg wrap makes for one of the most indulgent and satisfying breakfasts in town!
A couple of my kids, while they will eat avocado, are not its biggest fan and won’t usually eat diced avocado when I add it to food. They do however eat these if the avocado is sliced thinly enough and the lure of the crispy bacon seals the deal.
And while I don’t know where you live, if the price of avocados is anything like it is for me for you, it might be an idea to limit the amount everyones eating anyway!

3 Cheese Egg Wrap
My kids and cheese go together like…well I don’t know but just like their Mommy, they love love love cheese! While of course you can add some shredded cheddar to these wraps and have a very nice cheesy wrap, I like to use a few cheeses for a different texture, some adds flavors and simply to mix things up a bit!
Cheddar cheese usually always features, it’s fat content means it melts beautifully and then I’ll go for some crumbled feta and a soft cheese like thinly sliced brie. I don’t add huge amounts of cheese and I don’t over stuff these, just a thin layer of cheddar melted onto the wrap, a couple of slices of brie (or something similar) and a tiny bit of crumbled Feta sprinkle on top. If you’re a cheese lover, I can highly recommend! Feel free to swap out any of these cheeses, mozzarella makes a good addition, as do a few cooked onions.
Ham And Mushroom Egg Wrap
Ham and mushrooms are such a good kid combination, I slow cook the mushrooms, thinly sliced and seasoned well with salt and pepper and then spread the egg wrap with a tiny bit of cream cheese just to help it all stay together, layer on some sliced ham and add some mushrooms before wrapping it up.
Simple, savoury yumminess that the kids love!
