Clean Eating Maple and Balsamic Dressing
Dressings are one of my favourite things to make. They are fast and easy and I always feel like I’ve gone that extra mile when I add a homemade salad dressing to the table. Plus it saves me buying them too. I don’t like spending money on things that I know I can make at home.
My kids love this dressing on pretty much anything green. I found that when I use spinach to replace lettuce in a salad – it goes under the radar completely when this dressing is added. It’s super easy to make and uses only three ingredients that are most probably already in your pantry.
My youngest daughter likes to take it to school in a little tub to sprinkle on her salad because she “doesn’t like her lettuce getting soggy”. It isnt creamy so it lasts all day without spoiling. I normally make up a batch as I need it, but I would feel confident keeping the dressing in a jar in the fridge for up to a week.
- 4 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar (You can substitute with Apple Cider Vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
- 2 Tablespoons Rice Bran Oil (or other mild tasting oil)
- Mix ingredients together and serve.
